Our Peer Program’s

The Preschool Program

Our PEERS program for preschoolers offers fun and engaging activities designed to lay a strong foundation for social interaction. Through play-based learning, children learn essential skills such as sharing, taking turns, and making friends in a supportive environment tailored to their developmental needs.

(Ages 4-6)

The Adolescent Program

PEERS for Adolescents provides practical strategies for navigating the complexities of teenage social life. From understanding social cues to managing peer pressure, adolescents learn valuable skills to build and maintain friendships, enhance self-esteem, and thrive socially during this critical stage of development.

(Ages 13-17)

The Young Adult Program

Our PEERS program for young adults equips individuals with the skills they need to succeed in the social aspects of adulthood. From dating etiquette to job networking, participants gain practical tools and confidence to navigate various social situations, fostering independence in education, employment, and relationships.

(Ages 18-30)

Program Overview

    • The objectives of the Peers Program is to develop skills to communicate to better create friendships and keep them.

    • Enhancement of core social skills such as developing and maintaining friendships, improving conversational skills, entering and exiting group interactions, and handling teasing as well as losing when playing competitive games.

    • The program is 16-weeks for motivated individuals interested in making and keeping friends and romantic relationships.

    • Individuals and caregivers attend 14-16 weekly group sessions for 90minutes per week.

    • The program also includes include direct didactic, instruction, role-play to learn new skills, behavioural rehearsal and increased awareness and management of cognitions.

    • Participants can expect from the Peers Program, including opportunities for skill development, networking, and personal enrichment.

    • To help your teen /young adults learn how to make and keep friends. To help you more effectively support your teen’s/ young adult’s efforts at finding suitable friends and develop close friendships. To help you more effectively support your teen’s/ young adult’s ability to make new acquaintances. To help you foster your teen’s/ young adult’s independence with his or her social relationships

    • Social coaching across settings/ To find an accepting source of friends/ Support get-togethers with friends throughout the program.

    • *RCTs have shows improvements in social skills, social skills knowledge, friendship quality, social responsiveness, social anxiety, depressive symptoms, problem behaviors across several independent research groups with confirmatory EEG results and across cultural translations of the PEERS program. *Sample sizes of these studies ranged from 28–79 participants. *Cross cultural validation *Significant improvement also in social responsiveness, empathy, and an increase in the frequency of social get-togethers.

I run the Peers Program because I'm passionate about creating opportunities for collaborative learning and fostering a supportive community among young adults. Through this program, I aim to empower others to develop important skills for communication, friendships and life itself. The Peers Program is evidence-based and statistically proven to make a signifiant positive impact on the those who struggle with social skills.

  • The program is open to all interested, there are typically no prerequisites for participation as we wanted to make it accessible to everyone regardless of their various backgrounds and goals.

Cost & Investment

The PEERS programs includes

  • Intake interviews

  • 90 min young adult skill development session p/week

  • 30 min parent/support worker coaching session p/week

  • Support throughout the 16-week program

For a total of 16-week program: $130 x 16 weeks

Total investment for the entire program (includes everything) = $2080
A payment plan is available for non-NDIS participants.
